Phil Hoffman has dedicated his life to serving the people of Michigan. Before politics, he spent eight years in law enforcement, both as a deputy sheriff and undercover narcotics investigator. In 1982 he won election to the House, where he served for 10 years, followed by 10 more years in the Senate. Always a leader, Phil spent eight years as Assistant President Pro Tempore of the Senate. After leading nearly 100 bills through the process of becoming law, Phil is a seasoned veteran at navigating and managing the legislative arena.
